In order to publicize the project results to a large number of (prospective) teachers, a so-called multiplier network was established:
By participating in the seminar in the winter semester 2023/24, the (student) teachers became experts in the teaching units they developed and acquired both conceptual and didactic-methodological knowledge about the EU and the teaching of EU topics in the classroom. The training course in April 2024 also provided teachers from different types of schools with information on this topic and trained them as multipliers in line with the “train the trainer” principle: This is because these participants can take the knowledge they have acquired back to their school, pass it on to their colleagues and their class and thus provide new impulses in terms of EU and democracy education in a broader sense. In this way, more and more teachers can be reached and benefit from the project results.
An internal area has also been set up on the new platform where these multipliers can network with each other. New interested parties can also register as multiplier and receive further training on EU topics. To do this, they create a profile page about themselves. They are asked to enter their name, contact details, type of school, subject combination, interests/qualifications and the fields “I am looking for” and “I am offering”. These are voluntary fields, so users only provide information that they consider important in order to connect with other multipliers. The data of the multipliers required for the network is stored in compliance with all data protection regulations and is only used for the purpose of networking with each other or forwarding (event) information.
